Home Ownership Assistance & Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Dollars at Work in Your Neighborhood!

Pasco, WA - The City of Pasco has been awarded $455,500 through the Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) federally funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development "HOME" Investment Partnership Program; and as part of the local Tri-Cities HOME Consortium. This program is dedicated to encourage home ownership in older neighborhoods of Pasco through rehabilitation of existing homes and down payment assistance for first time home buyers.

Three new energy star homes are being built under this program and ready for move in before the end of the year! Qualifying low to moderate income first time home buyers are excellent candidates for these homes located at 5th Avenue and Ainsworth Avenue.

CHIP provides "zero-interest" loans for home rehabilitation, deferred interest loans and also grants available. This program is to assist low to moderate income home owners to provide a structurally sound, efficient, safe, healthy and weather tight home. Repairs include everything from roofs to foundations!

Through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) there is down payment assistance of up to $10,000 for the purchase of foreclosed homes. The money available will help at least 35 families become new home owners in the community.

Find out if you are eligible! Priority is given to low to moderate income levels, and must be your primary residence; rentals are not a permitted use.

The City of Pasco strives to continue improving the quality of community life in Pasco.
